All you need to participate is a "Pet" that you have coded yourself. For those needing a little help there is a 'sample' pet (set visual) in the Code Museum. Please do NOT use the 'sample's' exact coding, we want to see some originality, if only in wording. Rules are as follows: Novice Level (for beginners) will be held beginning at 2pm. Your 'pet' must be coded to follow the commands SIT/STAY, FOLLOW (pose only), and FETCH (pose only), plus you need to add at least one other command of your choice. Intermediate Level will begin at 2:30pm - Pets should be coded to SIT/STAY, FOLLOW (to another room), FETCH (an actual object), and COME. There should be at least 2 random responses for SIT and FETCH, plus at least 2 additional commands of your choice. Advanced Level begins at 3pm - In addition to the Intermediate level commands add FIND (player), 3 random responses to SIT and FETCH, plus at least 2 additional commands of your choice. NOTE: Intermediate and Advanced pets should have a controller and respond to 'spoken' commands. Times will be adjusted depending on participation, so come early and be prepared to stay late. *============================================================================= Grinna says, "fil, would you please put Greta thru the required commands first?" Grinna says, "Starting with Sit or Stay?" fil tells Greta to 'stay' and walks away from the petite goat. Greta stands where she is like a good goat, but her huge brown eyes pleadingly scream out, "I want attention. Don't make me stay away?" fil smiles. fil tells the cute lil' femme-goat Greta to 'follow' and walks a few steps away from her. Greta bleats out in happiness, "Maaaa-aa-a-a-hh..." as she walks slowly towards fil, strutting her stuff as if a model on the runway. fil throws a bright blue frisbee into the air and tells Greta the Goat to 'fetch' it. Greta gallops after the frisbee, leaping into midair with her strong back legs, grasping the edge of the frisbee with her jaws and teeth, pulling it down out of the air. She turns around and trots back to fil, and obediently lays the frisbee down at his feet. fil speaks a firm, yet soft spoken command. "Sing, Greta." Greta clears her throat, and leans on her back legs, reaching her throat up to sky, and bleating to her hearts' content. "Nnnaaaa-a-a-a-aa-a-a-a-hh!!" She stops, having sung her song, and smiles to the crowd. Javelin murmurs to Akiko, "That's some goat!" fil says, "And that, ladies and gents, is Greta the Goat!!" Akiko claps politely. Nveid claps Grinna applauds. Trispis takes notes, responsibly. Nveid whispers to his dog fil leads Greta offstage and watches. Grinna says, "You're up Nveid." Nveid nods Nveid takes his leash off of the dog Nveid says, "ralph, follow." Nveid says, "ralph, follow" Ralph the Dog happily prances along with Nveid as he walks. Nveid walks to a point in the ring, to position the dog Nveid walks to another side in the ring.. Nveid says, "ralph, come." Ralph the Dog comes prancing towards Nveid. Nveid says, "ralph, site." Nveid says, "ralph, sit." Ralph the Dog flops down with his tongue hanging out. Nveid gets a frezbie out Nveid throws the frizbie Nveid says, "ralph, go fetch the Frizbie." Ralph the Dog runs after the Frizbie. Ralph the Dog runs happily after the Frizbie and prances on back with it to Nveid. Nveid says, "ralph, stand." Ralph the Dog starts to stand up on his hind legs. Ralph the Dog begins to trip on himself and fall. Ralph the Dog wimpers. Nveid says, "and that is Ralph the dog, :).." Nveid pets ralph. Ralph the Dog licks Nveid. Grinna claps. :) Javelin cheers. Trispis takes more notes. Nveid escorts his dog off the ring Akiko claps politely. Nveid feeds the dog some little hot dogs.. Trispis stands up and inquires of the participants, "As we have a nice audience, do any of you object to seeing all the pets before we announce winners/placements?" (speak up if you object to this, pleas) Ralph the Dog scratches his ears. Javelin whispers, "Good idea." Javelin senses, "Trispis nods." Trispis says, "Hearing no objections, we'll continue with the show." Grinna says, "Since we didn't have anyone sign up for the Intermediate Level... Would Javelin please step forward with Rexbo?" Javelin looks over at Rexbo. "Good boy, here we go!" Javelin says, "Rexbo, sit!" Rexbo trots over to Javelin and sits squarely on his foot. Javelin grins widely. "Good dog!" Javelin inches his foot out, saying, "Rexbo, stay...." Rexbo pants happily and trots after Javelin Javelin frowns. "Rexbo, sit. Rexbo trots over to Javelin and sits squarely on his foot. Javelin says, "Rexbo, stay." Rexbo pants happily and trots after Javelin Javelin says, "Rexbo, sit!" Rexbo lies down on the ground. Javelin says, "Rexbo, no!" Rexbo trots over to Javelin, tail between his legs, and drools on his shoes. Javelin sighs. Akiko covers a grin. Javelin says, "Rexbo, follow Akiko!" Rexbo looks eagerly at Javelin. Javelin says, "Akiko, boy! Follow Akiko!" Javelin says, "Rexbo, follow Akiko!" Rexbo looks eagerly at Javelin. Nveid chuckles a bit Javelin runs to the other side of the ring, undaunted. "Rexbo, come!" Rexbo runs away from Javelin playfully. Javelin says, "Rexbo, come, boy!" Rexbo turns toward Javelin and charges full-bore, knocking him down. Javelin hits the ground with a thump! Javelin gets up, and dusts himself off. "Maybe a trick or two?" Grinna nods. Javelin places an order with Godzilla. Javelin sees Godzilla shake his head and snarl, "Don't bug me! I'm waiting on Akiko, now.... Wait your turn!" Javelin grabs a hot dog from godzilla and throws it. "Rexbo, catch!" Rexbo licks himself. Javelin says, "Rexbo, catch, boy!" Rexbo licks himself. Javelin says, "Rexbo, catch the hot dog. Yummy hot dog." Rexbo pants eagerly as the projectile flies over his head. Javelin hmms and looks skeptical. In a small voice, he tries, "Rexbo, roll?" Rexbo coughs, then vomits up the remains of a dinner roll. Javelin looks like he's going to cry. Grinna stifles a laugh. Javelin says, "Rexbo, find Grinna?" Rexbo runs up to and jumps up, knocking #-1 NO MATCH to the ground. Javelin ooks. Rex, you *are* sick. Javelin says, "Rexbo, speak!" Rexbo coughs up a hairball. Javelin says, "Rexbo, speak!" Rexbo says, "I'm a dog, I can't talk!" Nveid chuckles Javelin takes Rex firmly with the leash. "Um, I think we're done. Naughty boy." Javelin walks off the ring, saying "Rexbo, come!" a final time. Rexbo runs away from Javelin playfully. Javelin says, "That, I suppose, was Rexbo. :)" Trispis takes notes. Akiko cheers Javelin. She's not so sure about the dog. :) Grinna claps politely. Nveid claps Nveid whistles at the dog Rexbo jumps up into Javelin's arms, his 90 lbs knocking poor Jav down again as he licks him playfully. Nveid says, "heh" Javelin fixes find. "Rexbo, find Nveid!" Rexbo runs up to fil and jumps up, knocking him to the ground. Javelin nods, that's how it's supposed to work. :) Trispis grins. Nveid says, "heh" Grinna grins. "Much better... I think." Larry has arrived at the festival: A small fox, about a two feet long with his tail, and a foot tall to the tip of his ears. His ears each have a bit of brown at the tip, and all four of his feet are brown. The end of his bushy tail is white, with another small tuft of brown at the end. He has a saddle of darker fur across his shoulders. Larry arrives from the north. Trillian takes Larry. Trillian says, "FOr some reason or another he can' tteleport." Javelin says, "Room is no_tel?" Trillian says, "No." Javelin shakes his head. Trillian says, "I'm trying to have him tel to me and to 3198, but it says 'permission denied'" Trispis says, "It's not no_tel, but it's not jump_ok, either."
